SP Page Builder 2 years ago

Joomal 4.4 SP Page Builder 5.1.6 PHP 8.0 Helix 3.0.4 https://jjconcretepro.com

When I navigate to Component >> SP Page Builder Pro >> Pages >> Home and make my changes then click save without leaving the Page Builder and refresh the website the changes are there. When I click save and close and click home again all the change/removed items revert back to orginal state.

When I navigate to Component >> SP Page Builder Pro >> Pages >> Setting and input my license information and click save the information is there. When I click on Back to Admin then navigate to setting and click license and update, the information is missing.

Clear cache - same issue

I have deleted the install including the database on the server and started over with new website. Same issue.

Only component installed is Akeeba - back up created

FYI: I restarted the HTTP server

We are experiencing the same thing with our website.

We save a change and come back and it is gone.

I have noticed numerous bugs with this happening.

Contact form addon not saving any of the input information.

We created a page from an import. The page is there on the live website in our menus but when I open the page in page builder it is blank?

Hey Matt

So it looks like it was a Mod Security Block at the server level. My host provider whitelisted the rule for /administrator/index.php

It seems to be working now

Any updates on these bugs as we are unable to do any work on our new clients project with the pages?

I tried again today and worked on a new pages layout. I can see the new changes on the frontend but when I open the page in pagebuilder it is showing the old pages layout.

Please advise as this is not useable at the moment.

I've been having the same problem now since the day I bought it.. I think your support is inundated with Joomla 5 updates in the year renew release. I have tried various templates from different providers, including yours, verify with the hosting provider that this server does meet your requirements, and it does. I have honest child or reinstalled and done quite a few different templates and variations like Joomla art SP page builder. and even my own custom ones. your application or your extension does not work and save anything under any circumstance to where I can do any front end editing.

I believe before your release, you should have thoroughly tested it. Instead, you have good customers that have become your involuntary beta testers.

I know this "work-around" works for new website but NOT for existing websites. I get it, the purpose of this string that I started was to address the existing Helix and Page Buidler bug(s) but I could not wait any longer. So I though I would share what I did anyway.

Instead of using the "quickstart" zip file I did the following:

  1. Did a manual install of Joomla 4.4 by using the file package from the Joomla.org website
  2. Through extension manager, installed the Helix Ultimate 2.0.17 template (zip) from Joomshaper
  3. Through extension manager, installed SP Page Builder Pro 3.8.10 zip file from Joomshaper

This allowed me to use the newest version of Joomla 4 and the stable version of SP Page Builder. I have been working with the back-end (not the front end) for about 6 hours with zero issues. One thing I did notice - doing it this way, you do not get all the add-ons that come with certain templates. For example I could find the add-on Call-To-Action either by search or going through the list.

Now that I have a working website I was curious on what would happen if:

A) I updated from SPPB 3.x to the new version of 5.x. The result was the issue returned, I could not save changes.

B) I downgrade from SPPB 5.x to 3.x. It corrupted the database and the website became unusable. Not being a database pro, I did not know how to fix it.

My conclusion, I will continue with the steps 1-3 above until I see the new relases from JoomShaper which I hope are soon.

My Current Versions: PHP 8.0 Joomla 4.4 Helix Ulta 2.0.17 SP Builder 3.8.10

Yes here is a video I loaded to YouTube

https://youtu.be/0ABdSwC6zNo

It will demostrate how after deleting sections of the default home page the changes revert back.

I will delete a section save the change, view the change, then Save And Close.

I will return to the default home page I you will see what I have deleted has returned.

I did notice that it also gave me an error message. "Unable to find a user with the ID 527"

Let me know if you need anything else

Section deleted and update issue occurred for the server caching issue. Which is solved by adding a code inside the .htaccess file. Now you have to solve the 500 error of your hosting server.

This file location means that is Joomla CMS issue. It's not our product issue. Thank you so much
