Upgrading From PB3 To PB5 Safe?

I am one of those who didn't want to take the risk with PB4 and chose to stay with PB3.
Is it safe now, to upgrade to PB5 (the answer I got from Nia, was a 404 - so already there I got nervous)
What are the experiences?

- SPPB 4.x is not supported anymore.
- As webmasters we "risk" with every update/upgrade or server issue, this is part of our job. And yes, you sign in for it being webmaster or site owner.
- If you want to reduce risk of failure & stress level - do it first on test subdomain with website backup. Test everything and you will know, with a calm mind.
In theory all should be OK, but the life of a webmaster, like a sapper, is full of surprises.
