Good day. when I place a text addon in the front editor and choose system editor. If I place an image there and close it and look again, the image is gone. Is this known or is there a workaround for it?

Let me test it on my site first, to check & confirm/deny. Becuase you didn't share any link to video as evidence.
I will use JCE editor (new) + SPPB 5.2.5 + J5

Accepted AnswerOK, I can confirm issue, indeed using front-end editor image is not saved/used.
But all works totally OK in the back-end editor, images are kept.
Now I will inform our developers about that problem. We apologize for the inconvenience. By now use back-end editor for that purpose.
