Google Tag Manager Integration With HELIX

Hi,

I would like to add Google Tag Manager code and from Google website they say this :

Paste this code as high as possible in the <head> section of the page:

You should also paste this code immediately after the opening <body> tag:

I had a look on helix and I can sse this : http://prntscr.com/115th46

So code will be pasted before </head> and before </body> instead of after <head> and after <body> as recommended by Google.

So how do that with Helix?

Hi, I guess you have to use Custom Code plugin. Try Phoca Site plugin (free).

ok no problem thanks ;-) I think this is more logic and simple to do it from the template directly instead of installing a specific third party extension just to do that.

do you have an idea when Helix Ultimate 2.0 will be delivered in stable mode?

Beta2 (tomorrow probably) RC also in April - next week(s). So there is big chance that Stable also this month.

last question : I did some tests after adding gtag tracking code inside template settings (http://prntscr.com/115y6rn ) and after I have a lot if issues with failed loaded ressources on the pages etc... do I need to exclude something ? gtag manager is compatible with helix template?

  1. Have you used suggested by me plugin?
  2. Template cannot damage code (it only display), only firewall component can damage code.
