Assistance With Placing Google Tag Manager In Template

Hi, I am using Helix Ultimate Template for my Joomla website and need assistance with placing the Google Tag Manager (GTM) code correctly in the template.

I have added the GTM code before the </head> section in the template settings, but the Tag Assistant is not able to read it. Could you please guide me on the correct process to insert the GTM code in the appropriate location within the template?

Could you please let me know if there are specific steps or an override file I should modify to ensure that the GTM code is implemented correctly?

Thank you very much for your assistance!

Best regards, Sissel Lundeby

Hello Sissel Lundeby

Please check on your Google Tag Manager page. There you will probably see which code to input where. Some codes needs to be in <head> and some needs to be in <body>. Then you have to place the codes in Template Options -> Custom Code Before <head> or After <body>

Here is the documentation link:

Helix Ultimate Custom Code

Hi Sissel,

On Joomla Extension Directory you can also find dedicated extension for Google Tags or popular universal PhocaSite. But in most cases copy-paste in Helix Custom Code area works.

Problem can be when you have RSFirewall that sometimes "damage" j-script code.

From what I saw inside your current HTML code, the Google code is fully correct.

As extra tip, Check Template Options > Typography (one by one) and change from cyrilic and greek to latin (!) Then Joomla will load Roboto font only ones, not 3x as you set :p
