Issue With JCE Editor And Pagebuilder When Editing Article - Image Url Wiped Out And Extra Code Added When You Put The Image Back

Hi,

I had a ticket open for this a week or so ago. I have also opened a ticket with JCE. I notice other people are having this issue.

If I add an image to a pagebuilder article text block, the image displays. However, if you have to edit the article whether it be text or the image itself, as soon as you enter go into jce editor to make a change, the image url is wiped out and when you save and exit the image is no longer displaying. This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME you edit the text block.

When i look at the code, the url in JCE is gone but the code looks has extra garbage in it:

<p><img alt="CFO Techniques Inc. can help determine your financial reporting needs" width="200" height="300" class="**lazyload lazyload" sty**le="margin-right: 30px; margin-bottom: 30px; float: left;" data-src="images/2024/02/fin_statements.jpg**" data-data-src="**www.awdtest2.com/images/2024/02/fin_statements.jpg" />Compilation financial information was previously known as Notice to Reader financial statements.</p>

every time you go back to re-add the image, the code adds lazyload and data-data-src to the string instead of replacing the code. If you delete the image, the code is not deleted unless you delete manually from the code tab and start from scratch.

I don't know if the issue is pagebuilder, jce or a combination, but this is a real problem and needs to be addressed.

Can someone please look into this? I have live sites that are losing images if I try to make any changes and I have site that need to go live with too many images missing.

Thank you.

Hi Dina,

  1. Warning! Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.
  2. Do you have installed & enabled any Speed Up/ Optimizer extension? probably it adds lazyload and makes this mess.

I tested on my demo and was OK with the latest JCE Pro.

This version is from Feb 2022, Hello! I also like archaeology, but in this case not necessarily ;)

Update JCE then fix html code manually and recheck, then we'll back to conversation.

Sorry, thought it resolved, but it does not. have no time left to wait. work around is to completed delete image, re-add and make sure you don't have to edit again. image remains as long as you don't try to edit the text block again with jce.

sorry.

have opened support ticket with JCE Editor. Will advise if they find anything. it appears that if you even try to edit text inside jce editor, the images get removed. At least for me. and this is happening on other websites i am working on.
