Product Images Not Shown In EasyStore Until A Variant is Picked

SC

Stuart Clark

EasyStore 1 year ago

When I click on a product in EasyStore (example link below), the product image is not shown, instead it is blank / broken.

However, if a product variant is clicked on (colour, size etc.) then the image shows correctly.

Example: https://dilligaf.shop/shop/homeware/real-sds-xc14-mini-bluetooth-speaker-extra-bass-portable

Still not got any resolution on this!

I can see that a new product has been created on my site, which not surprisingly has the same issue - but nothing is fixed!

Is there any support for this, or do I need to ask for a full refund and use a different product?

Somehow your Joomla adds extra "/" to file path <img src="/\images\easystore\product-53\mug.jpg" alt="DILLIGAF Mug" loading="lazy">

that's why image is not displayed. Let me think why.

I have not changed anything relating to links - this is the exact behaviour "out of the box"

It should be OK by now.

Images are displayed.

Can you please tell me what you have changed?

The images now work if you click on the colour variant links, but if you click on the thumbnail in the "gallery" (underneath the main picture), those links remain broken.

This is now broken AGAIN after the update to EasyStore 1.2.0

I need a fix which IS NOT simply hard coding my base site URL. Clearly there's something else wrong that is not being investigated!!!

I will try to ask our developer to login and recheck on YOUR site. Asked.... let's wait...

Personally I think it's somehow releated with your server settings probably, becuase we couldn't reproduce that on our 2 servers, and my private one.

It seems clear the EasyStore path variables are mis-reading the base URL; or there's something possibly being declared by Joomla which is declaring differently on my server (Windows based) to your servers.

Regardless, a RROPER fix is needed!

Indeed, we all use Linux based servers.

You need to code in a platform agnostic fashion. There's too many coding errors in EasyStore at the moment!

I'm happy to work WITH your developers to see what the issue may be; but I don't have issues with other Joomla sites running other extensions (e.g. J4Store; EShop; Virtuemart etc.)

I fixed by now, only main product image (as last time).

And our developer promise to fix all problems with paths in Windows OS in 1.2.1 update.

Once again - hardcoding a path is NOT a fix
