SP PAGE BUILDER Issues

Hello, I am facing two issues with SP PB Pro.

First, I am unable to open the front-end editor. I am using a subfolder to develop the new version of the website. Could that be causing the problem?

Second, after updating SPPB, I can no longer edit pages in Firefox. It works fine with Chrome.

Thanks GS

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight. To better address the issue, could you kindly provide Joomla administrator access? This will enable me to thoroughly investigate the matter and provide you with a prompt resolution.

I appreciate your cooperation and will ensure to get back to you as soon as possible.

Best regards,

Toufiqur Rahman (Team Lead, Support)

I couldn’t find this directory on your site. Could you provide FTP or cPanel access?

Hi Toufiq,

Ok, thank you. Indeed, the folder is missing.

I installed SPPB in the new version of the site that I'm developing in a subfolder named NEWBENESSE. So, the missing folder should be located in: /home/benesse-maremne/htdocs/benesse-maremne.fr/NEWBENESSE/components/com_pagebuilderck/views/view.html.php

I wondered if the problem was caused by that, although this is how I usually proceed (I manage several websites), and it has always worked before. I will uninstall and reinstall SPPB to see if the missing folder finally appears.

Is there any additional manual operation I should do, besides uninstalling in Joomla!, to ensure a clean uninstall?

Best regards, GS

You should uninstall & you shouldn't rename the folder name.

Original

com_sppagebuilder

You have renamed

com_pagebuilderck

Sorry Toufiq, but I never renamed the folder. Why would I have done that? It wouldn’t make any sense :)

Besides, in the components section, it’s indeed the folder com_sppagebuilder that appears. The site currently online, at the root of htdocs/benesse-maremne.fr/, is built with Page Builder CK. In the new site under development in htdocs/benesse-maremne.fr/NEWBENESSE, Page Builder CK is not installed. Only SPPB is installed.

Please note that, of course, each Joomla! instance has its own database. Why does Joomla! look for the CK folder when I launch the frontend editor?

Hmm... No, it's up to you to explain why SPPB is trying to access this folder from another page builder (CK) when I want to display the frontend editor. That's what I've been asking from the start ;)
