How To Avoid Break Of Content In Section?

Hi there, how to manage this in SPP:

I have a section with two colums, each of them contains the picture-addon. In laptop-view it shows the two pictures standing next to each other in one row. In mobile-view it shows the two pictues standing among each other, each in his own row.

Now I want to display the two pictures also in mobile-view in only one row, next to each other. For this I reduced the width of the pictures to 150px, and also I set the width of the two colums each to 40 %. But still the two pictures keep been displayed among each other, with break in its own row.

How can I resolve this task? Thank you for your help.

It is not as good as I would like it: Now in mobile-view the four pictures stand among each other, each in its own row. So the customer have to scroll down longer. For this I want the pictures two by two, in each row two pictures. For this I created the two special sections with each contains two pictures. They are only active in mobile view. The section with four pictures in one row ist only active in laptop view.
