Contact Form Headers

Hello,

I have 2 small questions regarding the Form Builder component :

  • at the moment, I can set the from email (e.g. [email protected]) but cannot see where to define the from name, so I see the from field in the received email being "www.mysite.com [email protected]". How do I change that ? I would like to set the name of the site instead of the url.
  • Is there a way I can add a second email address in copy ? I tried to update the headers field and change "Cc: {{email}}" to "Cc: {{email}}, [email protected]" but without success.

Thanks

Hello Stephane,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To modify the “From Name,” please navigate to:

System -> Global Configuration -> Server -> Mail and fill out the relevant fields. This should resolve your issue. Additionally, you can refer to the Form Builder documentation for further guidance: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/form-builder.

Regarding adding multiple email addresses in the “CC” field: Currently, this feature is not functioning as expected. However, we are actively working on it and hope to resolve this issue soon.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Hi Ziaul,

This is what surprises me, if I go into global configuration - Server - Mail, the "From Name" field is correctly set to my website's name, which is what I would like to send through Form Builder, but that's not what I reveice, I get the URL of my website, don't know where this is taken from. I tried to get back there and save it again just in case, but still didn't work. I'm not fully sure but I have the impression it worked in the past, so maybe something wrong with recent updates.

Thanks for the answer on the CC field... btw, not sure if you are aware, but I tried to add the second email address in the Bcc field, and it also doesn't work as expected, the Bcc email address just ends up being added to the to:

Hello,

I’ve reviewed the CC and BCC settings in the form builder, and everything is working correctly. I’ve attached screenshots showing that I added my email in the BCC field, and I received a copy of the email as expected.

Regarding the “From Name,” I’ve identified a bug and hope it will be fixed in a future update.

Thank you.
