Hello,

My SP Page Builder component Email is not sending any emails.

It used to be set tot PHP in Joomla but this didn't work so I set it to SMTP which does work after sending an test mail.

When I send a mail using the form on my site however, it does not work and I doen't recieve a mail. I tried looking at similar problems on the site, but I can't get it to work. Could you help me?

What I did is I placed a new form and entered the data needed. This works.

I think the old form is somehow damaged because nothing worked. I hid the old form, so if you want you can compare them.

The {{email}} is the senders adress and is used as a CC when sending the mail, so he gets a copy too when sending his mail with the webform.

Uppercase mailadresses are no problem.

I did notice however that when you fill in the form online, and if you enter the recipient mail adress for the email, it gives an error. This is something for Joomshaper to keep in mind. It shouldn't give any problems however, because this can only hapen with the tester of the site. Using the global config adres in this mail adres line does not give any problems.

So I advise placing a new form and re-entering the data.

Hello Ziaul,

That was the first thing I checked. Az mentioned it was first set tot PHP, but when I revived this site and updated Joomshaper en Joomla etc. It dodn't work anymore. The testmail in the Joomla backend didn't work either. So I changed it to SMTP. The test mail worked then. But when trying it on my webpage in Joomshaper - Decora template, it didn't work. So I'm thinking it has something to do with Joomshaper.

After submitting form I see its shows invalid recpatcha,

You can fix this issues b y following these steps, • Install the latest version of SP Page Builder to ensure compatibility. • Go to Google reCAPTCHA Admin (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create) • Make sure your domain is added correctly under the allowed domains. • Update the Site Key and Secret Key in your website settings. • Clear the website cache and test if the reCAPTCHA works.

Thanks

Well thats strange. I don't get the invalid recaptcha myself. I actually added the recaptcha later myself. The email wasn't functioning before I added the recaptcha. I added the recaptcha previously like your instructions tell me and it doesn't give an error with me.

So lets first get it working without recaptcha.

If I disable recaptcha (which I will do for you to test) it doesn't work either. So I think the problem is still with Joomshaper as it happend when I updated Joomshaper. The testmail from the backend of Joomla does work.

If you need more siteinfo I can give you that. If you need acces to my site I can give you that too.

Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best Regards,

I think we had some bad luck at the time. There was some downltime in the providers internetconnection.

Dear Ronald, dear Ziaul, just to confirm: I have the same issue like Ronald. I am on latest version Joomla 5.2.5 with latest version SP Pagebuilder Pro 5.5.4 and template sharper (helixultimate) helix ultimate 2.1.2. I followed every step and even every possible and impossible variant. Stmp in joomla configuration and test email is working. I tried with our without recaptacha. But still can not send or receive emails with a form made by SP Pagebuilder Pro. Please advice.

Hello Ronald,

The issue is related to your settings. Please avoid using the Global Configuration email in the form builder. Instead, set a different email address in the form builder. Additionally, make sure the recipient email is different from the Global Configuration email, and ensure that the “CC” and “BCC” emails are also different. Do not use the same email address in both the “CC” and “BCC” fields.

Thank you.

Ok, just to be sure.

  • Global Configuration mail adress set in page Server/Mail: mail adress 1
  • Joomshaper form Recipient mail adress: mail adress 2
  • Joomshaper form CC mail adress: mail adress 2
  • Joomshaper form BCC mail adress: mail adress 3
  • Joomshaper form From mail adress: mail adress 2

These settings still don't work for the Joomshaper form. I do recieve the testmail from the global settings.

Hello,

I have tested your site using Mailtrap, and the form submission works fine. However, I would like to offer a few recommendations for the email configuration:

  1. Do not use the global configuration email as the recipient email. It’s better to keep them different.
  2. You can use this recipient email address in the “From” field as well.
  3. CC and BCC should also contain different email addresses; avoid using the same email in both fields.
  4. When entering email addresses in these fields, please ensure they are typed in lowercase letters — avoid mixing uppercase and lowercase.

Let me know if you need further assistance!

Best regards,
