Error Request Failed With Status Code 500

SP Page Builder 2 months ago

I have a problem when I open the sppage builder in my backend in the pages section I have this error Request failed with status code 500.

And if I then go to the language section, I have this error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near ':language' at line 3.

I tried to uninstall SpPage Builder and reinstall it but with no result. The version of Joomla is 3.12 and that of PHP is 8.4.

Can you help me solve the problem.

Thank you. LP

Ciao Luca,

Have you ever read that? // L'hai mai letto? >> https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/technical-requirements#support-limits

  1. No support Joomla 3.x anymore. You had at least 2 years to upgrade CMS.
  2. Joomla 3.x don't fully support PHP 8.4 (!), probably you Error Log is full with error messages ;p
  3. SPPB 5.7.x (new) cannot work inside Joomla 3.10.x
  4. If you have keep J3.x somehow, please uninstall current and install older SPPB 3.8.10.

BTW

  • There is a new version of icagenda component that works with Joomla 4, and Joomla 5. I also use it on my projects.
  • Helix3 is also a old template, consider using Helix Ultimate instead of it.
  • Your site has also a few Web Accessibility issues, and becuse it's for EU market, you should correct it. A new EU law regulations are from 25 June 2025.

Thank you Paul, I could try to redo the site with Joomla 5.x but the problem is migrating all the content from SpPage because I can't export the created pages. And then there’s also the content from Icagenda. I'm not very experienced, but if you have any ideas about it, I can give it a try.

I don't know if it's possible to export the specific tables by making a dump and then import them into the new database.

Yes, possible to export-import component database tables, but it's not task for beginner. And as you probably know, it's beyond JoomShaper support.

Yes, but remember to some plugins from SPPB 5.7 may stay and cause issues.

Yes, check download page, scroll down at the bottom and you will find 3.8.10 >> https://www.joomshaper.com/downloads/extension
