Hello NiroC,

Sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing. To help me understand the issue better, could you please clarify whether the media file was added through the Joomla Media Manager or directly via the SP Page Builder Media Manager?

Currently, files added through the Joomla Media Manager cannot be removed from within the SP Page Builder Media Manager. However, if the file was added directly through the SP Page Builder Media Manager, and you're still unable to remove it, could you please share your site administrator access so we can investigate further?

Before sharing access, please ensure you've taken a full site backup.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards

Hello NiroC,

Apolozy for the inconvenience. I have checked your site, and removing media files from the Joomla core Media Manager is also not working. This indicates that the issue is not related to SP Page Builder, but rather a Joomla core issue.

It appears that your server is blocking the DELETE method, as shown here: . This is most likely a server configuration issue. We recommend contacting your hosting provider to resolve this, as they will be able to adjust the server settings to allow DELETE requests.

Additionally, for optimal compatibility and performance, it is recommended to use an Apache server for Joomla sites, as Windows Server is not ideal for running Joomla.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards

Hi,

I faced a similar issue with dynamic content earlier — the ‘delete’ method didn’t work due to a compatibility issue. However, the outstanding support from JoomShaper helped me resolve it at that time by providing a fix, which was later included in the SP Page Builder version. I truly appreciate that support and hope for the same generous assistance in this case as well.

Switching to a non-Windows server isn’t a practical option for me, as I have invested a significant amount of money in purchasing this Windows server. Therefore, I kindly request your continued support and expertise to help resolve this issue.

I always appreciate the hard work and dedication of the JoomShaper team.

Thank you.

Apolozy for the inconvenience and thank you for your kind words. We truly appreciate your continued trust in our support team.

The issue you’re experiencing is related to the DELETE method being blocked on your Windows server. This method is a very common and essential HTTP function, and it’s unusual for it to be disabled. Unlike the previous dynamic content issue — which we could fix because it was fully within SP Page Builder — this problem involves Joomla’s core Media Manager, which operates independently of our component.

Since the Media Manager relies on Joomla core functions, and the DELETE method is currently restricted by your server configuration, this issue cannot be resolved from our side. The only effective solution is to contact your hosting provider and request that they enable the DELETE method on your server.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but this is the only way to restore the full functionality of Joomla’s Media Manager.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Best regards

Apolozy for the inconvenience. I have checked the issue with EasyStore, and it is caused by the same underlying problem — the DELETE method is disabled on your Windows server.

This method is a standard and essential HTTP function used by Joomla core and its extensions (including EasyStore and the Media Manager) to remove files. It is very unusual for a server to have this method disabled, as it affects several core operations across Joomla.

Unfortunately, since this limitation comes from the server configuration and involves Joomla core functionality, we cannot fix it from our end. The only effective solution is to contact your hosting provider and request them to enable the DELETE method on your server.

Once this is enabled, both the Joomla Media Manager and EasyStore file deletion features will work properly.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards

Hello NiroC,

Please check the JRoot/files/easystore/ directory. Keep in mind that if you remove an image directly from there, it will result in a broken image link on your site.

Best regards
