How do I Add A Top Bar To A Predefined Header?

Hi,

I do not see where I can customize a header or modify a header in HU 2.1.3. Ultimately, I want a full width centered layout with a top bar. I found the documentation basics of building a custom header from scratch, but it gets pretty complicated if you don't know how to code CSS (I don't) and you want to format the layout positions (centered, etc...).

If I see a header I like in a template, can I buy the template and then use the header from it in my HU site? Just an idea for quick and easy.

Thanks,

Allen

Hi

Thanks for contacting us. You dont need to do that. Just go to template options --> Basic tab --> Header --> Enable predefined header and then choose topbar. You can check this screenshot below:

Hi @Mehtaz,

Yes, that is what I had previously. It is not full-width, centered. It puts the logo and all menu items in what appeas to be a 2+8+2 column format. I need full-width for both the menu and the bar. I do not see way to simply add a top bar as an option to any preconfigured basic layout. Getting the top bar is limited to a single basic packaged layout.

Hi

You need to customization for that. And I am sorry to say that, you have to customize it yourself as we do not provide customization support. But you can check this documentation if it helps.

You circled me back to my own answer:

"I found the documentation basics of building a custom header from scratch, but it gets pretty complicated if you don't know how to code CSS (I don't) and you want to format the layout positions (centered, etc...)."

Thanks.
