Typography: Helix - SPPB - Custom

Helix Framework 2 days ago

Good morning As every person here, my websites use the Helix Framework, and there is SP Pagebuilder installed.

1. Helix framework: Here it's possible to define the typograpy for body text, headings, ...

2. SPPB: In the menu there is an option to define your typography, as much as you want. The only difference is that here, you can't define a textcolor. in Helix it is possbile

3. custom: In every section with a text block (for example), you can define some extra typography.

Now is my question, in which order are the settings of the typography used? It seems like SPPB overrules Helix, but SPPB is overruled by the custom changes.

So if you don't used regular articles in in Joomla, but all pages are made in SPPB, then it's more easy to use the typography in SPPB, but if you want to add color to your H1-6-tags, you need to add more custom changes

It seems like there are too much options to define the layout of text.

or is it just me? :)

Good morning,

We apologize for any inconvenience and confusion caused. Let me clarify:

  • If you do not set any typography or color in SP Page Builder, the system will automatically use the template (Helix) settings.
  • If you set typography or color in SP Page Builder, these settings will override the template settings.

Custom changes made directly in individual sections or text blocks will always take the highest priority, overriding both SP Page Builder and template settings.

We hope this clears up the confusion.

Best regards

ok, that's very clear. Thank you.

Is there any possibility to add a color option in the near future in the typography settings in SPPB?

Hello,

Thank you for your question. Just to clarify, SP Page Builder does allow you to select text color, but this option is separate from the typography settings and will remain as a standalone option. Typography settings themselves will not include the color selection.

We hope this clears things up.

Best regards

And have you checked "Color library" in Settings? It give you options to have preset color acconding brand colors, just take from client color codes, and put here, one by one, and then you can use them just by selecting them later from the list. Very very useful.

Good morning Paul Yes, I'm using that already, that's very handy.

But for example if my H1 should be color-coded #FF0000 Then I need to modify each page, if someday something happens with the color-setting. in Helix you can start with the colorcode from the beginning. If youchange the hex-code in Helix, the whole website is changed.
