Error When Trying To Save An Edit

Helix Framework 1 month ago

It started giving an error after I updated the Helix Ultimate template (2.2.4). When I try to edit a module and click Save, it gives this error:

PlgSystemHelixultimate::onExtensionBeforeSave(): Argument #1 ($event) must be of type Joomla\CMS\Event\Model\BeforeSaveEvent, string given, called in /.../public_html/libraries/src/Plugin/CMSPlugin.php on line 289

Can you help me?

Thanks

Hello uaigo,

Thank you for reporting this issue, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing.

To help me investigate the "Error When Trying To Save An Edit" further, would you be willing to grant me temporary administrative access to your site? This will allow me to thoroughly examine the problem and work towards a solution.

Before you share any credentials, I highly recommend creating a full backup of your site to ensure your data is secure.

Looking forward to your response.

Hello,

I'm experiencing the same problem. Is it possible to revert to version 2.2.3 of the HelixUltimate plugin and template? Where can I find them?

Thank you for your help. Regards.

Hello uaigo,

Sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing. We've identified the issue in Joomla 4 and are preparing a fixed version for release soon.

In the meantime, you can apply an immediate fix by replacing the JRoot/plugins/system/helixultimate/helixultimate.php file with the attached file.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards

Hi, Sure. If you're using J4, you can try… But the best way is to downgrade to 2.2.3 version if you have it.

Hi, thanks for this update. I have needed this on 2 sites when I want to upgrade J4 to J5 and try to set the option 'update channel: Joomla Next' - on that moment the backend gives an error. The helixultimate.php solves the problem for now.
