When I Update Page Builder To Version 6.3.0, Something Strange Happens.

SP Page Builder 1 month ago

Good morning to the staff,

When I update Page Builder to version 6.3.0, something strange happens.

On the homepage I have two sections that become completely incorrect.

Let me try to explain:

Section 1: There is a row divided into two columns.

On the left, there is an empty column with a background image.

On the right, there is a heading and a testimonial carousel.

Section 2: There is a row divided into three columns. Each column contains two rows with text.

To better understand, you can see it on the homepage at t-sigma.eu in the sections: “Valore e innovazione nei progetti” and “I nostri settori operativi”.

After updating to version 6.3.0, the layout is completely lost:

Everything appears vertically aligned.

The images disappear.

The carousel no longer exists.

In Page Builder, everything seems fine and without any issues.

Fortunately, I always perform updates locally first for testing.

Any suggestions?

Environment: Joomla 6.0.3 PHP 8.3.29 Template Investa 1.0.4

Thank you and best regards, Renzo from Italy

Hello Renzo,

Thank you for reaching out to our technical support forum. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing. Rest assured, I will look into this issue for you and work to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Please export the page where the layout is correct. A JSON file will be downloaded when exported. Compress the JSON and make it a ZIP. Then upload the ZIP here. I will check the issue locally.

Follow the documentation if needed:

Thanks for sharing the JSON. I have checked it on my local installation. There is no layout break issue.

Hi Ofi,

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you — I’ve been tied up with a thousand other things.

OK, I’m glad to hear it worked.

I’m forwarding you the screenshots: the first one is before the update (version 6.2.3) and the second one is with version 6.3.0, so you can see the difference.

As soon as I have some time, I’ll also try reloading the page from the JSON myself and we’ll see what happens. I’ll keep you posted.

Thank you for your kind availability — it’s truly appreciated and reflects your professionalism as a team.

Best regards, Renzo

Hi, I also tried, after updating to SP Page Builder 6.3.0, to reload the page from the JSON file. Unfortunately, I still see the same result that I attached earlier.

Some additional information: Joomla ver. 6.0.3 PHP 8.3.14 Template Investa ver. 1.0.4 Local platform on Wamp64bit ver. 3.2.7.4

What could I be doing wrong? I’ve tried everything and I have no idea what else to check.

If you’re willing, I could upload everything to a folder on my hosting so you can take a look. I would really appreciate this kindness.

If you need any information from me for support, I’m here.

Thank you and best regards, Renzo

Hi Ofi,

You're right — I ran a test as well, and it works. It’s only with Wamp64 that I can’t get it to work. I’ve also checked the PHP settings, and everything seems to be configured correctly.

Even if I port the online site, which works fine, locally on Wamp64 I still have the same problem… a mystery, what the hell :-)

Do you have any ideas or suggestions on where I could look?

Many thanks for your kind support.

Best regards, Renzo

Hi. Stop everything. I’ve found where the problem was. I found the section that was messing up the layout. By checking it, I discovered that it was the width dimensions of the two columns in the section you see in the image. I don’t know why it only happened locally, while online everything was fine.

I’m sharing this with you (also because of your great interest in my issue) and with everyone who will read it, hoping it can be useful in some way.

I’d say everything is fine now and resolved. Thanks a thousand again and best regards.

Sometimes small things create big chaos. Good that you have found the mess. Hopefully, it is alright now.

I have a humble request. It would be very kind of you if you can manage some moment to give us feedback on

  1. Joomla Extension Directory
  2. TrustPilot

This will inspire us to improve.

Hi Ofi,

Yes, yes, absolutely — I’ve already taken care of it. Normally I’m not inclined to do this, but with you I’m truly very happy to.
