Hi,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the inconvenience.

The issue may be related to a missing PHP extension on your server. The message displaying as COM_SPPAGEBUILDER_MEDIA_MANAGER_MEDIA_DE... and the inability to delete images from the Media Library can occur when required PHP image processing functions are unavailable.

Could you please contact your hosting provider and ask them to verify that the PHP GD extension is installed and enabled on your server? This extension is required for image handling operations in SP Page Builder.

Once the extension has been enabled, please let us know if the issue persists, and we'll be happy to investigate further.

Best regards

Hi,

Thanks for the update.

I’ve checked your setup, and Joomla is still reporting that the GD extension is not enabled on the active PHP environment: https://prnt.sc/XllBAHNkmWBF

This usually means one of the following is happening:

  • The hosting provider enabled GD for a different PHP version than the one your site is currently using
  • The change was applied, but the web server (PHP-FPM/Apache) was not restarted
  • Multiple PHP handlers are installed, and Joomla is running under a different one than expected

Could you please ask your hosting provider to:

  1. Confirm the exact PHP version used by your Joomla site
  2. Ensure GD is enabled for that specific PHP version
  3. Restart PHP (PHP-FPM/Apache) after enabling the extension

Once that is done, please try again and let us know.

Best regards

Apologies for the inconvenience.

The image you are trying to remove was not uploaded through the SP Page Builder Media Manager. It may have been uploaded via the Joomla Media Manager or directly to the server.

Please note that images not uploaded through the SP Page Builder Media Manager cannot be deleted from within SP Page Builder. You will need to remove them from the Joomla Media Manager or directly from the server file directory instead.

Excuse me, but I did use the SP Builder manager to upload the images.

However, I kept getting an error message.

I had to go back to the parent folder and then navigate to the folder where I wanted to put the image, and then it would appear.

Now I no longer get that message, and I can indeed delete new images.

So, it's OK to delete the others via Joomla Media Manager.

I have another question/concern.

What should I do with the extension that has a cross on it: https://123secondes.ch/2026/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=manage
