I Didn't Get An Update About The Helix 3 Plugin Security Update. Should I?

Do these not get sent out in alerts to customers? I don't seem to get them if they do.

We understand how important timely notifications are for security-related updates. An email notification was sent regarding the Helix3 v3.1.1 security update. However, email delivery can sometimes be affected by spam filters, promotional folders, mail-provider filtering, or the email preferences associated with the account.

Please check your spam, junk, and promotions folders and confirm that the email address registered with your JoomShaper account is current.

We strongly recommend updating any website using the Helix3 framework to v3.1.1. Please note that this update applies to Helix3 only and is not applicable to the Helix Ultimate framework. I am also sharing the solution if you have any problem to resolve it.

Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to Site Template Styles → Your Template → Template Options → Custom Code → Custom JavaScript.
  2. Check for any suspicious or unknown JavaScript code and remove it. This should remove the injected message if it was added through the template's Custom JavaScript field.
  3. After that, please update both the System - Helix3 Framework plugin and the Helix3 - Ajax plugin to the latest version (v3.1.2).

If you do not see an update notification in your Joomla dashboard, you can download the latest Helix3 package from the following page and install it via Extensions → Install:

I've had lots of Joomshaper emails, but nothing about this.

Can you confirm when exactly it was sent and I'll check further - if you can send a private message to confirm the email it will have been sent to also.

You should have received the email yesterday or today. If you didn't receive the email, I am really sorry for this inconvenience. I will also forward your feedback to the relevant team so they can review the notification process and investigate why some customers may not have received the alert.
