Hello,

I installed the Newsberg template using the newsberg_quickstart_j6_v2.0.3.zip file. Everything went smoothly. I performed the requested updates and then tried to install the SPMoviedb component—which appears to have been updated alongside version 3.0.2 of the Moview template (I say "appears" because the component version is 2.0.2, which was already available last year).

Naturally, the installation caused issues, and the component is unusable (please see video in hidden content).

Could you please confirm whether this component is indeed up to date for Joomla 6?

I should note that I have been using Joomla 5 with the SPMoviedb 2.0.2 component with the Newsberg 2.0.3 template for several years without any problems.

Hi Bruno,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Newsberg v2.0.3 is fully compatible with Joomla 6.x.

However, SPMovie is no longer being actively developed or supported. We have discontinued this extension, so it is not being updated for Joomla 6 compatibility.

If you need to use SPMovie, we recommend continuing with a Joomla version that is compatible with it. Otherwise, you may need hire a developer to make compatible wiht Joomla Latest.

Congratulations, Joomshaper.

I wonder how users of the Moview template—which has been updated for Joomla 6 since July 1st (v3.0.2)—are supposed to use it if the main component included with the template isn't updated.

A real mystery?????

I am absolutely fed up with this!
