SP Page Builder Front End SLOW SLOW SLOW To Load - Question | JoomShaper

SP Page Builder Front End SLOW SLOW SLOW To Load

MM

Maren McPeak

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

My pages load fast but when I click the "edit" button, it takes 2 minutes for the SP Page Builder front end to load. Once loaded, editing is fast. But there is no way my editors will tolerate this slow load time especially if they have mutliple pages to edit.

My environment: PHP 7.4.2 Joomla 3.9.27 SP Page Builder Pro 3.7.12

According to my phpinfo(), I have everything set per the basic requirements outlined at: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3

Please help.

Hi there!

Sorry for your issue.

Would you please give me a full akeeba backup of your site? Or the admin access?

Please use the hidden content box to share.

I need to check it at my end.

Most of the time the issue is related to hosting.

Best Regards

Hello,

Please take my sincere apology on this!

I have checked your backend and found out you have templates from both Helix Ultimate and Helix3.

Would you please keep templates from only one framework and remove the rest? As they are different in so many areas that can cause issues too...

And there are few updates pending too:

Would you please update them?

Okay I've removed Helix Ultimiate and now only Helix 3 remains. I've also run all the updates. However, the problem of slow editing on the front end still persists and is unchanged from the original report.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that.

Can I have a akeeba backup of your site, please?

Best Regards

I don't use Akeeba but I can give you a mysql backup and a Home Directory backup minus all the video files. That should give you what you need to reconstruct the Joomla site on your side. I can provide download links of both. Is that good?

You have to use an ftp client not a browser to download.

So I updated Joomla to 3.10.1 and Page Builder to 3.7.13 and things have just gotten worse. Front end editor was really slow to load and now it doesn't load at all. The blue page buidler spins forever and I get the following error in the console log:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:57 Uncaught ReferenceError: addonsJSON is not defined at Object.<anonymous> (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:57) at t (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:1) at Object.<anonymous> (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:57) at t (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:1) at Object.<anonymous> (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:25) at t (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:1) at Object.<anonymous> (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:25) at t (engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:1) at engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:1 at engine.js?f3dfe3134098716856e21d802c04e443:1
