An unexpected behavior in the Hope template

Asked by Oleksii (Alex) Tanasiienko 2 days ago Last activity 1 day ago

I'd like the JoomShaper community's help with unexpected behavior in the Hope template, which I recently installed and am currently using to build a website. I've noticed a strange bug and don't know how to fix it.

At first, I added text logos to the site, and they appeared normally. Then I changed them to image logos, and that's when the bug started. My site is in two languages - English and Ukrainian. For some unknown reason, the logos on the English version of the site appear at a normal, large size, which suits me. But the logos on the Ukrainian version of the site appear very small (at least half the size of the English version).

My first thought was that the issue was different image formatting between the two languages, meaning the image sizes weren't matching. But a quick check revealed the issue wasn't image formatting; it was the website template's behavior. I moved the Ukrainian logo to the English version and saw that it displayed at a normal, large size, as I needed, whereas the same image, when previously displayed in the Ukrainian version, was unpleasantly small.

Please see for yourself. Screenshots are attached .... O boy! I can't attach my screenshots! I don't believe it this forum not allows me to attach my screenshots?!

Thank you for your attention to my post here. The site is under development. Do you have the courage to dive into the chaos of construction work on a site that isn’t fully finished yet? Are you sure? If so, as a first step, please send me your IP address, because the site is protected by the provider's firewall. I'll also share the site address and other details with you.

P.S. Could you share your email? I will send you screenshots of the site that describe this problem more clearly.

Thank you for your willingness to provide access to your website.

No problem at all! We understand that the site is still under development. We’re happy to investigate the issue, even if the website is not yet fully completed.

Please share the website URL and any relevant details. We’ll also provide our IP address in the hidden content area so you can whitelist it in your hosting provider’s firewall.

We look forward to investigating the issue.

Thank you for whitelisting our IP address.

There is no need to send screenshots at this stage. I can access the website and have already identified the issue. I'm currently investigating it to determine the root cause.

I'll keep you updated as soon as I find out what is causing the problem.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and for the details you shared.

To make your logo show at the same size on both the English and Ukrainian versions of your site, please add the following CSS to your template's custom.css file:

#sp-header .logo img.sp-default-logo {
    max-width: none;
    width: auto;
    height: 60px;
}

You can change the 60px value to set the logo height you prefer.

If you haven't used a custom.css file before, this guide shows how to create one and where to put it (see Method #2):

After saving the file, please clear your browser cache and the Joomla cache (System > Clear Cache), then reload the site to see the change.

If you have any questions or need more help, please let us know. We're happy to help.

Best regards
