SP Booking Confirmation Process (Mail And Message)

Hello,

My SP Booking extension and booking process works perfectly fine besides from two points:

  1. After the verification mail is sent out, no message is displayed (I want the system to display the overwrite text COM_SPBOOKING_AN_EMAIL_HAS_BEEN_SENT on the website, so that the customer knows a mail has been sent).
  2. After the booking verification (invoice) is displayed on the page, no mail is sent out, i.e. the customer does not receive the verification mail.

I have looked through the respective files (checkout.php and payment.php as I believe) but cannot find the mistakes or missing parts in the code...

UPDATE:

It is fine to skip the mail verification process. That means, the customer does not have to be sent a mail to verify their email-address. It is OK to go directly to the point where the payment question occurs. The only issue is that, once the booking is completed, still no booking confirmation is sent to the email address supplied by the customer. So long story short, we only need the booking confirmation mail in the end of the booking process and the issue is resolved.

I did it via the overrides option in the language setting of the Joomla page for the German Site. The key is COM_SPBOOKING_AN_EMAIL_HAS_BEEN_SENT.
