Template 4 years ago

Hi,

I had installed Edulif template. Once the installation complete, the frontend show "HTTP ERROR 500" with the error Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ';' or '{' in public_html/components/com_splms/router.php on line 171

Believe it related with the SP LMS system, can you help to check on it?

Thanks

Hello Dreamztech

I have checked the template and found no issues. Did you install the template or the quickstart? Are all extensions and Joomla updated to the latest? Please let me know.

Best regards

Hello there,

I strongly believe that it has nothing to do with SP LMS.

However, here are some instructions below that might help you -

  1. First read the common cause of Internal Server Error 500. See it here.

  2. If you have JCE Editor, please upgrade it to the latest version, clear the browser and Joomla cache and try again.

  3. The php.ini file might set to only having 32 Mb memory. Changing it to 128 Mb can do the trick. If you are a Windows user, the path to file is /xampp/php/php.ini and is a MAC user, then /private/etc/php.ini.

  4. If the issue still persists and your site is live, please take an akeeba backup of your site. See the instructions here. Run it on your localhost and check. If it works fine there, please contact with your hosting provider and tell them that the site works fine on your localhost and creates problem on live.

Feel free to let us know the update.

Thanks!
