Just Updated To HU 2.0.1 And PB Pro 3.7.13: Problems On Top Of Problems

Currently running Joomla 3.9.28. I held off updating Joomla until I could see if the template and PBP updates would work for me. They don't.

  1. I lost most of my megamenu on the desktop. I lost my off-canvas menu entirely.

  2. I also learned that Megamenu administation and options are completely gone in the back -end administration. Now I have the plain menu manager with no megamenu options at all. Others are reporting the same.

I've cleared Joomla cache and PBP. I took PBP out of production mode, tried again, and put it back. No good. I was also sure to clear my own broswser cache and try two broswers as well. No good.

  1. I addition to all of this, I had to update HU through Joomla upload since auto would not work (Couldn't find xml). Now Joomla thinks I'm running version 1.4, even though I have verified its running 2.0.1. Installing 2.0.1 got an error "file copy failed". The template seems to have installed. I've run into this problem before with HU. No other extensions are having any problems with installation or updating on my server. None.

Admin Access credentials are in Hidden Content.

Let me know if there is anything I can do myself. I see that a lot of people are having problems with the menu after updating.

Regards,

Allen

Fixed.

  1. I copied the template folder from 2.0.1 quickstart to the same folder on the server.
  2. I went to the template options, and configured the off-canvas to display left.
  3. I saved.
  4. I re-configured the off-canvas menu to display right.
  5. I saved.
  6. Fixed.

Ok, I figured ourt where the Megamenu concfiguration went to in the template editor.

I found out that the whacky formatting the update brought was due to the fact that I had "Show Menu Title" enabled on all pages except the home page menu, which was simply a home icon before. Evidently mixing "no-show-title" and "Show title" makes alignment go whack. Now shoing title for Home, and at least the menue is aligned again, and the drop down shows up where it is supposed to. Bug.

Sadly, icons will not show. The down arrows are missing, with only a placeholder to show something's not right.

I've specified icons in the new megamenu manager for each of my main menu items, but nothing displays.

Woo hoo! I enabled font-awesome in the template manager, and my down carats came back along with icons. Didn't need font-awesome for the template before. Do now.

Progress.

Hi Allen!

Really glad that you have made it:)

However, I'm sharing the documentation link of new Helix Ultimate 2, if it helps anyway:

Did you select your offcanvas menu within the menu tab of the new template options as follows:

Yes. I already did that. I selected to display the same main menu as what I display on the desktop. See https://snipboard.io/6UP1vC.jpg

I still have no menu for mobile now.

Thank you. I look forward to your feedback.

Yes, What you are looking at is very different from what I see when I go to Template and Options for Helix Ultimate.

Mine has no "Menu" tab, but does have a "Navigation" tab. https://prnt.sc/1qhc4vd

I downloaded this from your site and installed it via Joomla. Do you have a different version for auto udate, which did not work for me?

While you are there, perhaps you can figure out why Joomla does not understand my Helix version in Joomla update. No other extentions have this problem, and I have a lot of extensions. And you can see that it does not want to update directly from Joomshaper. After updating, Jooomla thinks I am on version 1.1.4! I came in at Joomla 1.12 at the start! See https://prnt.sc/1qhc6rk

I'm still waiting on help for over two days now.

Please advise how to fix my missing off-canvas mobile menu. I've already tried the recommended fixes.

Hello Allen,

Sorry for the delay.

I have checked your backend again.

Did you reverted back to an earlier backup, recently?

However, I have found out the same problem you have mentioned earlier, So would you please follow this one more time, kindly?

https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/4034

However, I think restore an earlier backup when all was working would be better, as shortly there will be helix ultimate 2.0.2 which hopefully contains most fixes for current issues.

Best Regards

I cannot restore to an earlier version. This is a live site supporting an active Learning Management System (Not Joomshaper's) where progress is tracked and recored. Restoring a previous backup does not restore progress from today. This is also an ecommerce site with ongoing transactions all the time. I do not want to lose recorded transactions and new accounts that have come on since yesterday.

Restoring to a daily backup is a emergency-only action. this is not that kind of emergency. The biggest problem I have is simply getting the off-canvas menu to work for mobile per the post above. Can you kindly assist?
