Save, Save & Close and New Buttons not working after HU Update

Asked by kweb 5 years ago Last activity 5 years ago

Hi, I have updated my site to the latest HU and now I found out the the Buttons Save, Save & Close and New are not working any more in Content items.

I check console and I instantly get the error:

Uncaught TypeError: this._addClass is not a function

Before Update I had now problems with that. Regarding that topic

Toufiq did a change on my site - but I dont know what he changed, maybe it has something to do with it?! I have made all CSS adjustments because of the broken navigation so I am using the stage version now as live site. I also tried to copy all contents from the Joomla 3.10.2 archive over - but that does not solve the problem.

When I disable "System - Helix Ultimate Framework" Plugin the error is gone and I can save again.

Hi there!

I am really sorry for your issue.

We have introduced a lot of changes in the new Helix Ultimate 2, and we recommend not to update the system plugin before there is any template update available. In this ongoing process, we are updating all of our templates and here you can see them:

https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/11-joomla-templates-updated-with-joomla-4

https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/5-joomla-templates-updated-with-joomla-4

https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/6-joomla-templates-updated-with-joomla-4

And I have logged in to your backend and found out the template you are using is not from us. It would be better to contact your template provider in this case. As we are responsible for all of our templates and we are updating them one by one as you can see.

My personal suggestion is to go back to the last working backup of your site kindly if it is really urgent for you.

Best Regards

Hello Rashida,
can you tell me where I can see that you not recommend to update to Helix 2.0 without any update? I have read the article about 2.0

https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/introducing-helix-ultimate-2?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=email_newsletter&utm_content=helix2stable

Can you tell where it sais I should beware of updating? I dont see a warning or a recommendation. If I would have read one I wouldnt update.

I tell you my side. I was already finished with my site: But I did not want to sell my customer a site where updates are available. So I update to HU 2.0 whicht completly destroyed my website. I opened a topic here to get help. Toufiq fixed something with the result I could overwork the whole website with CSS. This took me another whole full day. After that I recognized the buttons aint working. And now you tell me that I have to roll back everything because I use another template?

Its okay not to use new releases but you should really think about giving better informations to your customers who have a business to run. Im really glad that I did not automatically upgraded my 80 other site with HU - I would have spend days to get it normal.
