Default homepage (and all variants) in Wayne Corp template demo were created using SP Page Builder Pro 3.x component. Below there is screenshot from front-end  and back-end edition view.

Each Homepage can be edited from back-end as well.

Background image 

Image can be changed from first Row Options > Style >  Enable Background Options
