Hi,

I had the issue, that suddenly the frontend was not working. I tried to figure out what the issue is. I found something that needs to be confirmed.

  1. New installation of Joomla 4.06, Helix and PB3.
  2. Creating a new article from library
  3. Edit Article in frontend was working
  4. Configuring Helix under advanced settings to compress Java and CSS files

Step 4 caused the issue that the frontend was not loading, turning compress off and it worked again. I tried that with 2 installations with the same result (online/Xampp) When I use a different template, the editor is working

I can't figure out where the issue is located - Helix or PB3. Can someone check that again?.

Stefan

Hi,

Yes, please do NOT use JS compression from Template Options during SPPB front-end edition - it will not work (!)

Enable JS/CSS compression after you make all changes, OR use back-end editor.

JS compression will be corrected or removed. It makes only mess right now, becuase some users don't know how to use it.

This is the "price" that we have to pay for speed website. In compressors there are always "Exclude Javascript Files" option that helps, but then this file is not compressed/joined.
