Trouble Getting Basic Menu/template To Work (Newsberg)

Wonder if anyone can help me - as I seem to be falling at the first hurdle when trying to get Joomshaper templates to work.

I've tried a couple - but with similar issues on the main nav.

I've got newsberg set up on this page: https://www.hot-dinners.com/Gastroblog/Interviews/chef-tony-fleming-tells-us-why-the-baptist-grill-at-l-oscar-will-be-a-place-to-come-hang-out-and-have-fun

As you can see - the main menu is all messed up - for some reason appearing as bullet points.

In navigation section of the template, I've selected my main site menu, with mega menu as the option. But I'm getting the result you see.

To make things simple, I've created the layout as just the predefined header and component - but I'm still getting the above. So I can't work out why it's still showing the logo when I've deleted that from the template too.

Am I missing something obvious - or is there just a basic incompatibility going on here?

Ok- I've worked it out. I had two logos for another template in the "logo" position - and that was being pulled in by the Joomshaper templates.

Is there a list of the positions that these templates automatically include?

Hi,

You will find related info in the documentation here:

https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/joomla-templates/newsberg/layout-module-positions

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that - one more question - how can I adjust the maximum width of the page?

Hi,

You can put the following code in your custom CSS:

.layout-boxed .body-innerwrapper
{
    max-width: 1140px;
}

Please use your desired value their!

Note: Path towards custom CSS: Extensions>Templates>Styles> Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options. Then find custom CSS within the custom code. https://prnt.sc/pu705g https://prnt.sc/pu70zn

Hi - I've moved to using Gazette for now as that seems to suit slightly better. The page is starting to com together - but I've one last question for tonight.

It's this page again: https://www.hot-dinners.com/Gastroblog/Interviews/chef-tony-fleming-tells-us-why-the-baptist-grill-at-l-oscar-will-be-a-place-to-come-hang-out-and-have-fun

While the main component area and the navigation are working well - the right hand column appears to be missing the CSS. For instance - it doesn't look like the right column on this page:

http://demo.joomshaper.com/2018/gazette/index.php/en/news-page/apple-will-launch-a-global-web-portal-for-law-enforcement-requests-later-this-year-2

Is there a reason why this might be happening?

Hi,

I can see the newsletter is made with acymailing on your site, and with opt-in-form on our template. So they look different.

You can follow those modules from the quickstart pack to get closer look I guess: https://prnt.sc/we145z

I mean if you want you can use the Quickstart pack on your localhost to see how things are there to make it easier. the following blog will help you even on reuse too:

Best Regards
