Problem With Start Publishing Date Field

Helix Framework 3 years ago

When we log in from the front end (J4) to create an article we get the following error IF we enter the current date in the Start Publishing date field:

Call to a member function format() on bool

If we leave the Start Publishing date field empty the article saves and inserts its own incorrect date:

2010-09-12 09:02:27

• If I then log in thru the Joomla Administrator and inspect the Article publish date it has the correct current date.

• If I switch to the J4 Cassiopia template, the issue goes away and date reads: 04-19-2022.

• Switching language file between US and British English doesnt have any effect either.

Using: • Helix Ultimate 2.0.7 • Joomla 4.1.2 • PHP 7.4.29

We did change the name of the calendar.php file and the Start Publishing field now works. Seems to be a bug in your sfotware. Others have complained of the same issue with that field as well as some others. We also have a problem with the popup window for selecting and uploading images.

Can you tell me the file location? I think it's override file. But, need confirmation.

We also have a problem with the popup window for selecting and uploading images.

Front end ?

After huge investigation no issue found. Can you produce the error here?

I don't see where to log in from the front end of your website shown above. I don't have this issue if I log in through the Joomla Administrator Login — only logging in through a front end editor.

As I've stated — logging in through the backend Joomla Administrator login is NOT where the probelem exisits. The issue is with FRONT-END login and with the template. For example:

www.mywebsite.com/login

Seems to be an issue with all the date fields when you login from the front end of the template.

That's because we have written CSS to fix the bootstrap issue with the image upload modal and renamed the calendar.php file to remove the conflict.
