THIS IS A BIG MESS

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

Whatever I touch goes into a mess. I do not know how you people operate but there seems to be no quality control of any kind. Information is inconsistent, or there is no information, or it is totally confusing. I will be honest. I got frustrated to the point that I am about to cancell my subscription completely and if this happens I will never use your products again. I keep asking simple questions for clarification but Technical Support is super slow or non existent.

  1. I just setup new J4.1 instance.
  2. Uploaded RHINO template from your site.
  3. Opened a preview and got total mess
  4. I went to the template page and downloaded another file and uploaded to the site.
  5. Opened the Preview and got a total mess again (bit different but still a mess)

The file naming for the downloads is a disaster ! Nobody know what is what ? No description of any kind and things not working. You showing the template demo pages but none of the downloaded templates look like your demo after installation.

I keep asking for help AND clarification and so far most of the answers make no sense (or most of the time are ignored). Despite of few little improvements in SPPB I think it was a big mistake to sign-in for your products and at this moment I would not recommend it to others. Yes Page Builder has some nice features but to much stuff doesn;'t work and amount of wasted time (digging for answers and solutions) is not worth the price I pay for the product. I would be willing to pay twice the price if everything works 100%, but at this point not even 50% is acceptable.

You people often pointing me to the HELP pages not realizing that those pages are confusing, have missing basic info or are very confusing at times.

As an example I refer to the post where I asked about the LMS installation. I have posted 3 messages about it and after over a month haven't got one clear explanation. I was asked to lookup the Help page which is missing the most basic info (about installation). I followed typical install and the end result was absolute mess on the Front Page :-(

Can finally somebody explain what is going on with the templates ? I downloaded and installed several of them and they all look like trash !!! most likely because the content files are missing. If you offer the template without content files then you should explain this to the users.
BOTTOM LINE IS - 70% of Joomshaper resources is MESS - BIG MESS !!!

I hope somebody could clarify this and most of all get to work and fix those template issues.

Hi Arthur,

Please take my apology.

We have two types of pack in download section. One is template pack and the other is Quickstart pack. The template pack has only a basic structure and doesn't contain any demo content. On the other hand the Quickstart pack includes all the necessary components and demo contents also. Here is the difference between the two:

https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/helix-ultimate-2/introduction#template-vs-quickstart

If any part of the above document is not clear to you, kindly do let me know, I will try to describe it as much as I can.

Moreover, each template has stated technical requirements which need to be checked and fulfilled in order to get things working right.

Nowadays, there seems to more issues for PHP version compatibility. We have updated many Helix ultimate and helix3 based templates with PHP 8 compatibility, but some are yet to get. So the templates doesn't get PHP 8 compatibility yet, should be used with PHP 7.4. You will get these info from the blog or template changelog as well.

Best Regards

OK, I will change PHP version and will test it again, but the problem is that most of the new J4 plugins do not work with PHP 7+ anymore. You also should place a notice which PHP version is required for the template so I do not have to waste tons of time to figure that out be trial and error.

I agree with the part where people should provide more info. Often only the issue is posted. No Joomla version, no SPPB version, no php version. How to know if the issue might affects you also?

This forum should be catergorized. Joomla version-what Joomshaper product etc etc.

Sometimes you read an post and halfway down you see its a complete different setting. Waste of time to read posts this way and very confusing.

I suggest you take a look at the Joomlart Forum and see the difference.

Hope you guys can make the forum more clear and organized.
