I dont'd know what I'm doing wrong and also can't find usable instructions...

When I put in my App ID and Secret (hope they are right) and click "Generate Token", a window opens that has nothing to do with generating a token, but looks more like joomla without css.

I have made a tutorial on How to setup Instagram Gallery Addon. Please follow the steps in the tutorial. Make sure that you have checked the additional steps in the description too. You may also follow this forum solution about this issue.

I did everything mentioned in the tutorial and the forum solution, but still get that strange popup instead of the facebook login...

I have checked your site and found that you are using SP Page Buildre 5. Please use SP Page Builder 4 or 3. We have not released the stable version for SP Page Builder 5 yet. After we release it, then you can use it on your site. Right now this is only available for testing.

I switched to 4.0.11, now when I click "Generate Token", it says...

Required "app_id" key not supplied in config and could not find fallback environment variable "FACEBOOK_APP_ID"

...in a new window. But the App ID is set.

I have checked the backup and your site. It seems to be working now.

Please change the Facebook App ID and Facebook App Secret with yours on the site. Hopefully, it will work. It works with my information.

okay. The configuration generates the token perfectly with my access. I think the issue on your Facebook App. Please check these steps:

  1. Add your site URL in Facebook Login - Settings - Valid OAuth Redirect URIs. https://your-domain.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&task=instagram.accessToken

  2. Replace ‘your-domain.com’ with the name of your domain. Check this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/116b38f

I already have the OAuth added. What do you mean with "the name"? The screenshot is about OAuth, not dem Domain name...

I have no clue about the issue. But I can assure you that our product works. I can do it with my own token. There must be any difference in your settings that I can't find. I would like to request you to start over and create a new app by following the tutorial strictly.

There seems to be a general problem with apps and non business accounts. Facebook doesn't acceppt my business validation and as a personal site, I can't have apps...

I managed to set it to a consumer account app, but still the same. Now I upgraded to SP Pagebuilder 5.0.1 and get the message...

Sorry, something went wrong.
We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

When I put in any number, it says "wrong app ID, the provided ID doesn't seem to be a valid app ID"

I have checked again. It is working with my App ID and App Secret. The issue is definitely on your app.
