Versions 3.7.5+ have Page ID Issues

SP Page Builder 4 years ago

Hello. Every time I use any version of SP Page Builder past 3.7.4- I get a major issue with the pages... The first page can be added and modified with no problem. However when I add any additional pages, it assigns them a page ID of 0 and nothing else can be added. It's like it's not using the auto-integer for the assignment of the page ID and screwing up new page additions. I have done the "updates" to the database per the GUI in the admin area- but didn't help.

BTW - You can see THIS video for a screen share of what is going on. Note that I have tried this with SEVERAL different websites and always had the same experience. This site originally had 3.7.9 installed in it and had the same issue. Uninstalling and re-installing does no good.

Right now my only option is to completely uninstall the component, go to the DB and manually drop all of the tables created by the component, and then install 3.7.4 and it will work correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Sorry but SPPB PRO version 3.7.4 is old, not supported anymore. Please update to current version 3.7.9.

  1. Please update
  2. If you still have a issue, record a short video and share here

This is the best way to solve your problem.

Another video outlining the issue with a fresh install of 3.7.9.

It's a Page ID issue...

Today is Friday (late hour for our team) so I cannot ask any developer for help. But at least I will watch video right now. And inform them to take look on Monday.

Oh. I think I know...

Do you have MySQL v8 ??? If yes, can you use older version by now? Maybe MySQL 5.7 - anything below v8. SPPB 3.7 is not fully ready for this new MySQL version. Yes, we have unoffical update, but you know how it's with beta versions.

Yes, it's Version 8.0.23.

Just as a side note: PB v 3.7.4 works fine with it. It's all versions after that that don't work.

yes, I know, becuase we made some changes in database.

Can you use older MySQL for next two weeks, or you need hacks?

When will the update be ready for SP Page Builder? If it's going to be soon, I'll just continue using 3.7.4.

If it's going to be a while- then I'll need hacks.

Thanks for your help.

Next version of SPPB should be in March. So yes, by now use older.

Remember to read changelog before update.
