How To Make Permanent Changes On Templates

Good Day,

I am using the floox template on my website. I made changes to the menu on the template itself, but everytime I open the template style to make changes, the template settings reset and I need to go back into the template and make the changes again.

I tried to make the changes directly on the files, but it still resets to default code when I go into the template style.

How can I make changes to the Template permanently so that the template do not reset everytime I open the Templat Style?

Hi there!

Sorry for your experience.

From where are you trying to make changes, please? From the preset or from the custom style of your Template Options? Users are not encouraged to edit template files such as template.css as they will revert back to default with each update.

Your admin access would be better to have to check. Please keep a full site backup before giving the access.

Best Regards

Hi,

Thanks for the access. Kindly, do let me know what do you want to change.

As I said earlier, template.css file should not be touched. If you want to add any custom CSS then you can add it in to the custom CSS field of the template or create a custom.css file and keep all your custom CSS there. This topic has covered here in the following documentation:

Hope this helps!

Best Regards
