Hallo! I have a major issue with pagebuilder version 5 and above all the latest version. I have installed it in Joomla 4.4 using Investa template latest version wich has intergrated pagebuilder 5.1.6 and also tested them at latest versions of educon, finion and 3 other templates with joomla 5.0 and 5.1 and tested them ON all versions of pagebuilder 5 and latest till 5.3.4. They all have the same issue: when making changes at a page from the backend editor of pagebuilder save it and close or click save and close it shows the changes on the front side of this page. If I go back to the same page again to edit these changes are not shown in the backend...everything I changed before, it is as it was before changes..it does not keep changes. If I do the same thing (changes in a page, save,close) , but using the frontend editor (not from the backend) it keeps all the changes I made no matter how many times I save and close and then edit the page again. When I click save the changes are saved in the database ( so they can are shown at the frontend) and at the mysql at pagebuilder tables the records exist and the page data are updated with the latest changes. So the problem is not at saving contents of the page BUT when trying to edit again a page from the backend the problem is on the loading procedure of the latest page data . It can not be a cache problem , eg. in investa template cache is not enabled...we tried to open and close cache for browser and server cache..the problem still exists. We tried also this: made changes as I explained before, using firefox browser (problem exists) and then went on chrome browser to open administrator and edit this page for the first time(the browser had not any data cached yet) and the changes in the backend page where there( having not cache yet it forced to load the from the data base where the changes were saved)...but if close the page and the some minutes later try to edit from backend this page again ...make new changes and save ...then edit again ...same problem the changes were gone and it showed the previous data I did oth the first time. You dont need any connection details to see the problem ...just test investa or any other template an do the same steps I show you in the video or I wrote above to reproduse the problem. I have over 500 sites on line and Ineed to upgrade them...Technically I can not use any of your templates or latest pagebuilder....PLEASE TRY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM...I AM NOT THE ONLYONE FACE IT. I AM CUSTOMER FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS AND FROM THE TIME YOU STARTED TO DEVELOPE EASYSTORE AND OTHER COMPONENTS YOU STOPED UPDATING AND SOLVING MAJOR ISSUES AND BUGS PAGEBUILDER AND NEW TEMPLATES VERSIONS HAVE! Hi.

For me, as a webmaster that has many sites that I serve, it would also be a problem. But I checked on many of my sites and could not reproduce the problem (SP PB 5.3.4.). Are you sure that the reason is not your local server? Judging by the domain from video, the site is on a local server, right?

Also, I doubt that the reason is in the template. However, turn off System Helix plugin and check on Cassiopea to exclude the influence of the template.

Hello there,

It is not the local server... The same issue exists on all production servers that have Page Builder V 5.x .... All have issues.....

Also the same issue is reffered from many other users here https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/26756 . It is exactly the same issue . The ticket here is opened cause i have analyzed it ...

As i see up to now none of you from JoomShaper have done the steps i have mentioned to reproduce it ! Just take the template i have mentioned above just installing it do nothing else and check it out ...It will be there !

The issue is not in the front end ...Cassiopea has nothing to do with the administrator area !

Hello there,

If i turn off the "System Helix plugin" as you suggested then i cannot use the Template Option .. I get this error "InvalidArgumentException: Please specify a valid response format, other than that of HTML, such as json, raw, debug, etc." and the issue is not resolve also !

Just do what i mentioned adove ...to reproduce it and find the cause of it ! Do not suggest stuff that is not resolution.... Also use the same php/apache version for your tests...

Please forward my ticket to JoomShaper developers and get back when you have followed my steps exactly as i mention them above ! Please do not give me directions that are not relevant to the issue or does not resolve it ! We are not unexperianced users... I am a programmer with a lot of years in software development and i when say it is a bug it is .... i have searched it in depth a lot of testing in varius enviroments (apache/php/mysql versions). The only i haven't done is to read the source code of SP Page Builder and i do not intent to do it ..This is your job !!!!

PLEASE REPRODUCE IT /TRACE IT,FIND IT,RESOLVE IT !!!!

Hi. Your post was alarmed by me. I took these steps and did not get a problem. Therefore, I believe that this is a local problem. If it were a common problem, then absolutely all users would face it, and not just some.

And I was hoping from my post it was clear that I am not JoomShaper employee.

If all your sites are on the same hosting, then the problem is perhaps on the hosting side due to strict security settings.

The issue is not in the front end ...Cassiopea has nothing to do with the administrator area !

Helix has the system plugin, which has the effect on the admin area, not only the settings of the template. Therefore, it was not superfluous to check. Cassiopeia does not have such a plugin. And of course, if you turn off this plugin, Helix will stop working and you should switch to Cassiopea for checking.

Another advice. While in SPPB backend editor, turn on the browser console and see if there are any arrors while saving. Perhaps there is a conflict with one of the extensions used on the site.

For example, extensions like Admin Tools or RSFirewall can cause such problems due to strict security settings.

1st you never mentioned you took the steps and 2nd if you did you never the serverenviroment you used. 3rd you never mentioned where you took the steps ... Template/SP Page builder Version ...etc My local server has the same exact enviroment as the my live... The servers are fine ...The 3x versions works like a charm ..The 5.x are the issue

Hello there,

Access cannot be granted due to company policy ! But you do not need it ! Setup the server enviroment, install Investa quickstart , touch nothing after installation and the issue is there !!

Why you do not dit !!!! ???? Read the info i have given in my 1st post....all is there !

Hi, This problem has existed for over 10 months. Support does nothing except say there is no problem for them. However our customers no longer want PageBuilder. It's impossible for them to work with this tool. When will we see a REAL solution from your support ?

Hello there Toufiq,

Thanks for the fixing the login details...

The Investa Template link you provided is not in the same server enviroment as the the one i mentioned... Your server has PHP 8.2.21 and the version causing this issue is 8.1.29 . Checking provided link of Investa and it seems it works. Pages are loading fine.

According to above it means that Page Builder version 5.x is incompatible with PHP 8.1.According this page https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/technical-requirements Page Builder should be compatible with 8.1 or 8.0. It it does not work why then you mentioned it in your requirements page ..? What is the point of making your customers testers..? Say it that it needs 8.2 version and that's it. I have lost a lot of time testing and wondering why i have issues with Page Builder and is the php version ...

Dear Toufiq you just provided a link that shows that Page Builder works did not trace it or reproduce it ! You did not listen to the issue details i have given in my 1st post... Providing a link that shows Page Builder works does mean that the issue exists... Yes it works with php 8.2. But what about 8.1 ..? 8.0 you say it compatible..?

Toufiq thanks you very much for this link .... Changing php in my infrastacture is not possible at the moment. I have dozen of sites and apps needing 8.1 and using multiple php versions and struggling to make a site or apps work with needed version in over 100 servers is not an option....

Finally Toufiq this issue seems to exist in 8.1.29 or in general in smaller php versions than 8.2.. Still Joomshaper developer team has to fix it ..Still i am waiting for a fix from Joomshaper...

At the end of the day i am extemly disapointed from Joomshaper for the absense of support... If i do not move to another component and templates right now in the near future i will. More than 15 years i was depending exclusively on Joomshaper components and templates spending a lot of money (more than 2000 EUR) for subscriptions. It seems that on serious issues the support is not in the level of finding solutions and resolving issues.. It is seems that you have lot of work implementing products that you do not support at the end... So this is not trustable and for my point of you i have to create a second path away of Joomshaper.

Dear Toufiq is it possible this link to be on line for one month ..? I am currently on vacations and i will be back on the office at the end of August ...If it is possible it would be great and i am really grateful for this !!!

Thank you for your detailed feedback. After downgrading the PHP version from 8.2 to 8.1.29, it seems to be working fine on my end. If you could provide the specific page names that are causing issues, it would greatly help in identifying and resolving the problem. The two videos just shows what the link you provided shows... So do not try to convince me that the extension works. If i take for granted that the extensions is fine then it has to do with the server settings.. I have compared your settings with my mine from the admin area and found nothing usefull i can use to keep searching ...

The extension is working with no errors up the 4.x version..Can you tell me what is changed from the php point of veiw in the 5.x version and is significant ..? It must have been something i am missing here...

Can you tell me what php libraries do you use ..? Can you provide in hidden contenet the result of yum list instaeed|grep php in order to compare mine with yours... Can you provide me what is is changed from 5.x and above with the previous versions and is sgnificant ..?

Also i tried in my local server to install the 5.3.4 versions with is installed successfully when i try to open Page Builder after installation i get errors... and does not open ..I can install install up to 1.3.6...Above that i get errors... Maybe this issue is relevant to the major one .. I will upload screenshot from the server when is on line because is local ...

Help me to find it and debug it .. A lot of customers has the same issue maybe some of them can be helped besides me to resolve this issue ... Currently i am clueless where to look ...for errors...

As fas as the main issue of this thread i found the cause....

If my apache config i use these directives in order to provide cache to some applications that does not cache mechanism ...and yes it work fine !

But after the 5.x version of Page Builder these directives are causing the issue i have mentioned in my 1st post... In the link provided by Toufiq i cannot verify that the apache does not have any cache enabled in the config. so i guest it does not have that is why it works. So for anyone needed a solution about this issue search for your web server cache and disable for good if you want SP Page Builder to work ...

This is serious issue and i epect JoomShaper to fix it with a new version ... If she does not does not respect customers so there is no point for my loosing anymore time debugging their products...

What might appear to be a cache issue may actually end up being a bug SP Page Builder add-on to update the database properly.

Search your database for the new and updated content, this was my problem tonight in the Feature box add-on not updating the URL of the button. 😡
