Pagebuilder Page Not Saving

SP Page Builder 9 months ago

This webpage: test.deijsmannetjes.nl/ijstaarten Joomla 5 and SPPB 5

I saved this section from one of the standard layouts: https://sppagebuilder.com/ac-repair-home

I then imported into my page design: https://prnt.sc/pQFnoGYK8aXz

But when I try to save the page it won't: it shows that rotating symbol that keeps turning indefinetitely. When I then close teh page, the page closes. But when I open the page agiain, the imported section is not there.

What is happening?

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the inconvenience.

To resolve this promptly, could you kindly provide Joomla administrator access? This will help us investigate thoroughly. Please back up your site using Akeeba Backup before sharing credentials in hidden content.

Thank you for your cooperation and I’ll update you as soon as possible!

Best Regards

Enclosed

The page is called SP-A-2

Meanwhile I have the same problem with another saved section that I copied into the page. I also got an error message "Request failed with status code 503".

Hi there,

The issue might be related to your hosting server, which may not allow saving changes when there's a large amount of content.

  1. I tested the backup site for the page and section, and everything is saving properly in the local environment.
  2. Please try increasing your server configuration:
    • Post Max Size (post_max_size): Set to 64M or more (this is likely the main issue, as my local environment handled it fine).
    • Memory Limit (memory_limit): Set to 256M or more.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please contact your hosting provider and ask them to enable these functions. You can refer to this screenshot for guidance: https://prnt.sc/Fl1pOp0oCmu7.

I’ve faced a similar issue before, and it was resolved by the hosting provider. The server was originally configured to handle smaller data requests, but the saving method was attempting to send data larger than the server configuration allowed. This was fixed by adjusting the server settings.

For your 2nd problem: please mention the page name and saved section name.

I hope this solution helps solve your problem.

Best regards.

Hallo Asfakur,

I set the values higher than you recommend: no change. Also it seems that the same happens with any of teh sections that I ever saved.

But I created a new SPPB page and pasted in the saved sections: no problem.

So it seems like the page is corrupted!

Thank you for your effort in identifying the error.

You didn’t modify the disabled function. Instead, you should ask your hosting provider to adjust the configuration for larger content changes, as I mentioned earlier.

The page I tested is working fine on both our local server and live development server. It also saves correctly without issues.

I also checked, and the section works fine for a new section. If you find the issue persists, try creating a new page and then proceed.

Best regards

POST_MAX_SIZE is now 128 Memory Limit is now 268

I removed all the disabled functions.

Problem did not change.

Importing saved sections in page FP-A-2 won't save

But importing them in FP-A-3 works like charm.

When I try to save FP-A-2 with imported section, it fails. I then close the page. And then go back to admin. I then get a red error messag: "e-response is undefined"

Added later: I saved all sections of FP-A-2, created a new page (FP-A-4) and imported the sections. No problem with saving anymore. For some reason the page got corrupted, I think.

Updated later again: Same problem is back again in FP-A-4. When I insert a saved section, the page cannot be saved anymore.

Hi there,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have tested editing the FP-A-4 page from the frontend editor and successfully added a section. However, there seems to be an issue when editing from the backend editor.

Please disable the ModSecurity function from your hosting provider and let me know if this resolves the issue.

Best regards

Hello Asfakur,

I do not think it is wise to disable all kinds of security of the server just for this problem.

It it is good to know that the frontend editor is a workaround.

Thanx for the help.
