Is There A Blank Template For SP Builder 6 Pro?

Hello,

I noticed when adding on Cassiopeia, some parts of Cassiopeia stay in place (header mainly). I installed Helix Ultimate and cleaned it, just left one wide area with component space for it (I guess this is where SPPB goes into?)... but I guess then I have two builders in the same time? I don't know if it impacts performance of the site...

Is there a blank template to use with SP Page Builder Pro 6?

Or is there a quick start with everything turned on? That would be great to e.g. create designs after making screenshots of what you can do in SPPB...

I also have problems with creating some good looking menu...

I don't want to part stuff between HU and SPPB...

Thanks,

Hi Milo,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

SP Page Builder 6 Pro doesn’t come with a blank template — it always needs a Joomla template as a base. The common solution is to use Helix Ultimate, strip it down (remove header/footer/modules), and leave only the component area. That becomes your “blank canvas” for SPPB.

You’re not really running two builders — Helix Ultimate only provides the structure, while SPPB handles the content. Performance impact is minimal if Helix Ultimate is cleaned.

Thanks

You can create blank template with Helix Ultimate, you need to explore it yourself, to see how it fits to your needs. I created my own quickstart for blank template with Helix Ultimate, so i dont need to repeat same basic configuration that i need.

Thanks for the tip.

Do you think HU and SPPB override in any areas? What about something like loading JS/jQuery (I remember jQuery was removed from Joomla core, but don't remember if Helix Ultimate loads it?).

Again, maybe you can help so that I don't load same stuff twice.

I'm wondering whether a really clear template from the scratch would be a better option anyway but at this point I have no idea whether I should add any gridding or just place component area top middle of HTML and that's all...

I think I will escalate to the support people for any more tips on that.

Thanks for reassuring.

Any "ticks" to untick in terms of scripting / css? If visible and off - should be good or something inside the code or something?

Cheers.

BTW folks, how do you upload a photo as this page's avatar that is not strangely streched vertically?

Hi Milo,

You can review the Helix Ultimate Advanced Settings here: 👉 https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/advanced

Since both Helix Ultimate and SP Page Builder Pro are our products, they are synchronized to avoid conflicts — the framework won’t load duplicate CSS or JS files. So generally, you don’t need to worry about double-loading scripts.

As for the avatar, that’s handled by the forum system itself and isn’t related to Helix Ultimate or SP Page Builder. Here to manage all users profile photo in similar shape, we use fixed height and width thats why you see this.

Is there anything else I can help you with?
