Helix Ultimate Bug Lost Main Navigation And Some Css

I have been wresteling with this all day and finally discovered that the issue is with Helix Ultimate. Joomla 5.3.4 Helix Ultimate 2.1.1 and also on 2.1.3 SP Page Builder 5.4.6 I went to the helix template (shaper_helixultimate - Default) and put in a layout row I lost the Main Navigation and some css. I thought it was me so I restored from backup.
I entered some custom code in the custon css and it did the same thing I lost the website main navigation and some css . So the problem is when something is changed in the helix ultimate template settings - when I make changes and hit save I loose the main navigation and other css.
I don't understand if you have a new coder because I just had bugs in the blog code (see previous post) I am now going to restore from backup one again.
I am now afraid to update my helix and sp page builder.
This all happened on a live client site. I tried installing helix 2.1.3 but experienced the same issue. I wanted to bring this to your attention as I do not know if others are experiencing the same issue. I do not have the site to show you as I have installed the backup on the client site. I am not happy :(

First, in general, we don't recommend using old Helix versions. You should update everywhere to 2.1.3.
Second, I think more robust method for Custom CSS is using custom.css file, also becuase it's easier to find mistakes, like missing "}" etc. Please copy/cut and paste all the CSS you want to use into the newly created file, and you’ll find that Webmaster Live becomes much less problematic.
About header gone, it can be caused by: old template version, becuase some months ago Joomla 5 changed one thing and that caused problems with template options.xml file. Were many topics on forum about that. Or problem with broken custom CSS code (less possible).
And you forgot to tell us, what template name you're using? Raw Helix Ultimate or template based on that framework. I only remind you, that we can help here only if you have template directly from Us, not external seller/developer (Support Policy 8.8).

Accepted AnswerAbout options.xml file from your template folder, edit & check if you have that default="0" code, must be exactly that!
