Hi all, we have a customer page running on J 3.10.12 with shaper_floox template and sp page builder. We have to update the page to Joomla 6. Is there a way to save/export the content and transfer custom.css and template settings and adopt it to the the newer version of template and page builder? (set up new joomla 6, install template and page builder > import content) Thanks for your assistance. Matthias

HI Matthias,

It will be a few hours process.

Yes, there are content migrators (extensions), but they are only for Articles, Menu items etc. not SPPB pages.

First, I would try that method:

  1. Remove all modules, plugins they don't need or no J4 version anymore.
  2. Upgrade from J3 to Joomla 4.
  3. Update everything, check, backup.
  4. Upgrade to Joomla 5, update, double check, backup. Charge client ;]

Notice! Floox don't have Joomla 6 version yet, but as I know it will get update in next months.

Thanks Paul. What about the export import function in SPPB? Doesn't that work from J3 to J6 (or J5 in that case, when the template is not yet available).

Yes, You have to export-import each page separetly. And remember about Media files (jpg) - probably you have to move it manually. After importing of each page in new SPPB remember to click "Check content" feature, it will rebuild to new structure. Then export-import template settings, and build a new menu structure as it was.
