Hello Anne, Double-checked multilang config.

The error only occurs when frontend user is visiting the site in another language than the pages he is trying to edit. Must be something with the language-cookie?

1. it's not a Joomla or SEF issue.
2. you have deactivated SEF, but the issue still remains. Stil unable to edit dutch pages in frontend mode.

I have re-activated Joomla-SEF. Please do not use the site for testing purposes. We are going live in a few hours.

Secondly, your Dutch pages working completely fine with the front-end editor. See the screenshot in the Hidden Content area. Even your global pages are working completely fine here.

If you face anymore problem, share the exact page name and screenshot with us so that we can dive exactly into it.
