Native Comments for Joomla Articles
SP Page Builder allows you to embed a comment system directly into your SP Page Builder article-integrated pages, making it easy to engage with your readers. This means apart from SP Page Builder Dynamic Article Detail pages, you can also create a comment section in your regular Joomla article pages.
Note: Before you can embed comments into your Joomla articles, ensure that Joomla Article integration is enabled in SP Page Builder. For detailed instructions, refer to the Joomla Article Integration documentation.
Adding a Comment Section
Open your Joomla article using the SP Page Builder frontend or backend editor.
In the page layout, locate the Comment addon from the Addons panel.
Drag and drop the Comment addon into the desired position within your layout.
Once added, your article will display a fully functional comment section for visitors to interact with.
Configuring Comment Settings
From your SP Page Builder dashboard, scroll down to the Comments section to access settings that control comment behavior:
Comments must be manually approved: Enable this option to require admin approval for all new comments before they appear on the site.
Comment author must have a previously approved comment: Enable this to automatically approve comments from authors who have at least one approved comment.
Enable Gravatar: Enable this to fetch user avatars from Gravatar based on their email address.
Managing Comments
As an admin, you have complete control over your site's comments. You can edit, publish, unpublish, or delete comments.
To manage comments:
Go to your Joomla dashboard.
Navigate to Articles > Comments.
Here you can view all approved and unapproved comments and take necessary actions.
