Hello Jeroen

Apology for the delay. I will try to clear your confusion.

  1. No backend will be available on SP Page Builder 4. All will be in the frontend.
  2. Articles have their own HTML structure and customization from the template. This could be a difference from the page view. You can use Article or Page whatever you like more.
  3. Yes, we will make SP Page Builder 3 upgradable to SP Page Builder 4.

Best regards

Ok, but why do I read here that in SP Page Builder 4 the backend editor is completely dropped. You can also read it in the comments.

Hi,

3 questions:

So if I understand it correctly in SP Page Builder 4 there is no backend editor like in SP Page Builder 3.

  1. When you click on the button "Edit with SP Page Builder" as seen in the screenshot Joomla core articles then you wil be brought from Joomla core articles to the frontend editor of SP Page Builder 4?

  2. What I've never understood is why I should use [Components] > [SP Page Builder Pro] > [Pages] instead of [Content] > [Articles] > [New] > switch to [SP Page Builder]? I prefer switching in [Articles] to [SP Page Builder] so I can also use features from Joomla Core articles.

  3. I want to walk the right path that is future-proof. So that I can upgrade from SP Page Builder Pro 3 to SP Page Builder Pro 4 in the long run without any significant problems. So [SP Page Builder] in articles won't be dropped?

Regards Jeroen

Thanks for accepting the answer. I have a humble request. It would be very kind of you if you can manage some moment to give us feedback on Joomla Extension Directory. This will inspire us to improve.
