Mp4 Video does Not Play

Hi

I have an mp4 video which has run in SPPB 3.8. Now with SPPB 5 it no longer plays.

The video is ok because it plays when I drag it to an empty browser window.

Is this a known problem? Do you have any idea what I could try?

Thank you very much for your help

Hello Patrick LaDNER,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please refer to the following documentation for a detailed guide and better understanding of the video add-on: Video Addon Documentation.

Additionally, I recommend upgrading the Page Builder if it has not been updated yet, as this may improve functionality and resolve any issues.

Should you need further assistance, feel free to let us know.

Best regards,

Thank you very much.

I did everything in exactly the same way. Nevertheless, the video is not running.

As I said, the video is ok, it plays when I drag it into an empty browser window.

Hello Patrick Ladner,

Thank you for your prompt response. Could you please provide me with your admin access? This will enable me to investigate the issue further.

Before proceeding, I recommend that you create a backup of your site. You can use the Akeeba Backup extension for this purpose.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello Patrick,

I wanted to inform you that your video is now playing. However, I noticed that you have two folders in your media directory named “Agenda” and “agenda.” This discrepancy in capitalization may lead to potential issues, as paths are case-sensitive. I recommend standardizing the folder name to use lowercase letters.

Additionally, I suggest compressing the video file size, as it is currently quite large. A smaller file size can help improve loading times and ensure that the video starts autoplaying more quickly.

Aditionally, I compress it a bit to test video and keep it in agenda folder.

Thanks,

Best regards,

Hi Ziaul Kabir

Thank you very much for your help.

Have you done anything else apart from changing the folder?

The customer must have created it himself.

No, I just compress it a bit to test video and keep it in agenda folder. And I use this video on video addon and enable autoplay options.

Is there anything I can help you?

Ah ok. Thanks again.

Then it was the problem with the folder labelling.

No. So far everything is fine now.
