Shaper Educon And Hikashop

Hi, I am experiencing a critical issue with my website using the Shaper Educon template and HikaShop (and generally with all other installed e-commerce plugins).

When a user tries to download a file after purchase, the file is not downloaded to their device. Instead, the browser attempts to open it as a plain text file, displaying raw binary code (shorthand: 'hieroglyphics' or mojibake).

I have performed a cross-template test:

With Shaper Educon: The issue persists (file opens as raw text).

With Cassiopeia (Joomla default): The problem disappears and the download works perfectly.

This confirms that the issue is related to the Shaper Educon template or the Helix Ultimate framework, likely due to a JavaScript conflict or an output buffer interference that prevents the browser from recognizing the correct 'Content-Disposition: attachment' header.

Could you please help me identify which setting or script in the template is causing this output corruption?

Furthermore, I have encountered a critical error after simply editing a text string within the slider on the home page. The page is no longer accessible and returns a '0 - Class not found' (or '0 - Error').

I am currently working on a live staging environment. If necessary, I can provide you with administrative access to the site so you can investigate the configuration and the template conflict directly.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

I can only upload images via links. Please enable file uploads for me. Always refer to the staging version, not the live site.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I was still unable to identify where the issue is occurring. Additionally, the link you provided in this comment (www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/44113#qa-answer-220224) is returning a 404 error, so I’m unable to review it.

Could you please check the link or share the correct one so I can investigate further?

You can use this link.

More generally, since the upgrade to Joomla 5, the Shaper Educon template has been showing several issues. Neither the EasyStore cart nor the LMS plugin cart are working correctly (they always appear empty). Additionally, course lessons are not being displayed within the LMS. However, if I switch to the Cassiopeia template, everything works perfectly. I urgently need these issues resolved; as it stands, none of the plugins I've configured for product sales are functioning correctly with this template.

Hi, The issues are resolved, the LMS and EasyStore carts are now working correctly; however, the issue remains where LMS lessons are not being displayed even though they are associated with the course. The lessons show up fine when I use Cassiopea.

It's really a shame that EasyStore doesn't support file downloads. I'm forced to use HikaShop for this. Isn't there any way to integrate a file download after purchase within EasyStore? Here is a video link of the issue.

Thank you for the update.

First of all, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. Regarding the LMS lessons not being displayed, could you please share the course link where the issue is occurring? This will help us review the setup and investigate the problem more accurately.

Regarding the EasyStore question, unfortunately EasyStore does not support file downloads after purchase. The extension was specifically designed for physical product e-commerce, and therefore digital/virtual product delivery (such as downloadable files) is not included in its current feature set.

In many cases, a single extension cannot fulfill every possible requirement. The decision to keep EasyStore focused on physical products was made intentionally to maintain a streamlined and stable e-commerce workflow. For selling downloadable products, using a dedicated solution such as HikaShop is currently the recommended approach.

Thank you for your understanding, and please share the course link so we can further investigate the LMS lesson display issue.

Kind regards
