Components

When you expand the Components section, you will find the following options:

  • Banners
  • Contacts
  • Multilingual Associations
  • News Feeds
  • Smart Search
  • Tags

Additionally, all your installed Joomla extensions can be found and accessed through the Components section.

Banners

Banners are blocks of content containing advertising information.

Banners

The Banners tab presents a list of banners, providing access to edit existing entries and generate new ones.

Categories

You can utilize the Categories setting to create or edit banner categories.

Clients

The Clients setting allows you to add and manage the users paying for the information.

Tracks

Keep a track record of the number of times the banner has been selected.

Contacts

Contacts

The Contacts list shows selected information for contacts and provides links to edit or add information such as name, address, phone and e-mail.

Categories

Contact Categories allow you to organize contacts on your website. Contact Categories are separate from other types of Categories, such as those for Articles, Banners, News Feeds, and so on.

Fields

Fields are used to display additional attributes of Articles, Contacts and Users.

Field Groups

Field Groups help to organise fields for data entry. Each Group will appear as a separate Tab in the data entry form.

Multilingual Associations

The Multilingual Associations Component is a tool that allows editing of associated items side-by-side without the need to go back and forth.

News Feeds

Feeds

The News Feed Options configuration lets you set parameters that apply to all news feeds.

Categories

News Feed Categories enable you to organize various website feeds coming to your site.

Index

This screen shows a list of all the content items that have been indexed in Smart Search.

Content Maps

The Content Maps settings show the content maps currently in the Smart Search index. With content maps, you can associate your indexed content, including articles, with related meta-information, such as the category it belongs to. Smart Search indexes each piece of content and assigns it to one or more content maps. These maps serve as filters for searching the index.

Filters

Create and manage filters for smart search.

Search Items

Search Items allows the user to search through the site content for words or text phrases. Content is found in the database by checking which components have enabled search plugins.

Tags

The Tags section allows you to see a list of all current tags, as well as edit existing ones and create new ones.
