Template 4 years ago

I need to build a new website using Joomla 4 and purchased the Spectrum template. I am familiar with Joomla 3 and uploading and installing through Extensions, but cannot find how to do this on Joomla 4. Can you help?

Thanks,

Audrey

Hi there!

Thanks for your query! You will find our plan about the Joomla 4 from the below link: https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/joomshaper-s-plans-for-joomla-4

Sorry to say that, the Spectrum template is not Joomla 4 compatible yet!

The stable version of Joomla 4 has just released!

We have made compatible some of our products with unstable versions of Joomla 4.

So, we will try the stable one with all the issues you all face and report soon.

Note: Upgrading to Joomla 4 right now in production sites is not recommended. There are many third-party extensions like ours that are not fully compatible yet. It is better to wait at least a couple of weeks to see how things are going (It is applicable for each and every new release). Meanwhile, we will update our products accordingly.

Best Regards

If this is the case, then am I able to get a refund? I purchased because of the banner on your site celebrating the Joomla 4.0 release.

I am creating a new site, not upgrading, and host provided Joomla 4.0

Try using Helix Ultimate Quickstart Pack - J4

Can you try the Helix Ultimate there!

Yes, we are celebrating Joomla 4 release and as you can see we have made some products already Joomla 4 ready.

I have a suggestion for you, as you are saying you wants to create a whole new site then it is always better to start with a quickstart pack as it includes all the necessary components along with demo data too. The following link will help to get the difference between two packs:

https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/helix-ultimate-2/introduction#template-vs-quickstart

If it is possible for you to remove joomla installation from your domain and start with a empty space then the quickstart pack will be helpful.

If it is not possible then you can try the template pack, which will give you a very basic framework only.

Best Regards
