The LMS I am running from our site only supports bootstrap 3, and it acts buggy if running in the component position of a Helix Ultimate page. I learned with HU version 1.1.4 that I could run the LMS from a different template, and could thus avoid compatibility issues. I do the same thing with VirtueMart since it's formatting goes whacky when running as a compoenent in Helix Ultimate. My Pagemaker Pro is fuly up to date, and causes no issues with non-HU pages. the LMS is up an running on our HU 1.1.4 site at https://www.certifiedinfosec.com/e-learning.
I just tried updating the HU template and system plugin to 2.0.5 and 2.0.6, respectively. Even though the LMS is still assigned its own different template as with HU 1.1.4, the new HU template framework plugin version 2.0.6 interferes unlike the old 1.1.4 framework plugin. Trying to use or edit a course in the LMS crashes the entire PHP with HU 2.0.6 plugin enabled on the site. When the plugin is disabled, the LMS runs fine.
This really smells like a Bootsrap 5 incompatibility issue. I bet the HU Framework plugin 2.0.6 enables Bootstrap 5 for all pages on the site, rather than only the pages assigned to the HU template. I'm not sure, but that's my guess. The updated site runs fine until I try to actually use the LMS - which crashes PHP for the entire site. I had to perform a site restoration from backup to get back to normal.
The request for assistance:
How can I isolate components such as my LMS and Virtuemart to run independently of Helix Ultimate and the HU Framework plugin if HU is installed as the default template on my site? Again, assigning the components to run in an older "safe" template no longer protects them from HU System plugin as of version 2.0.x.
