The SP Booking component for Joomla makes it easy for your visitors to check room availability seamlessly since it's a core feature of SP Booking component. Once you’ve set up your rooms, accommodations, and related information, the availability check feature is ready to serve your users directly from your site’s accommodation page.
Setting Up the Room Availability Checker
Follow these steps to enable the room availability check on your website:
1. Create a Menu Item
- From your Joomla dashboard, navigate to Menus > All Menu Items.
- Click on the + New button to create a new menu item.
- For the Menu Item Type, select SP Booking and then choose Accommodation.
- Customize the menu item settings to tailor the functionality of your accommodation pages.
- Once done, click Save & Close.
2. Publish Your Accommodation Page
Your accommodation page is now ready to display. It will include the room availability check feature for your users.
How the Room Availability Check Works
Input Dates:
Users can enter their desired check-in and check-out dates to search for available accommodations.
Availability Status:
If the selected accommodation is available for the chosen dates, users will see a Booking button, allowing them to proceed with their reservation.
If the accommodation is unavailable for the specified dates, the Booking button will be inactive, preventing further actions.
