PayU

PayU payment gateway offers a seamless and secure transaction experience, enabling businesses to accept payments globally. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, PayU facilitates quick payment processing and allows you to complete purchases with ease and confidence. 

PayU payment gateway can be used only in the following European countries:

  • Poland
  • Czech Republic
  • Hungary

Check which currencies are supported by the PayU payment gateway.

Adding PayU to Your Payment Options

  • Log in to your Joomla Dashboard and navigate to Components > EasyStore > Settings > Payments.
  • Within Payment Settings, locate the “Add Payment Method” button and click on it.
  • From the list of available payment methods, choose PayU and click on the “Add” button.
  • This action will successfully add PayU to the list of available payment options for your online store.

Configuring PayU Integration

Once you have added PayU to your payment method list, click on the "Setup" button right beside the PayU payment method.

This action will prompt a popup screen to appear, allowing you to configure the plugin according to your preferences.

Title

Give your PayU integration a title (e.g., "PayU"). This user-defined title helps you identify this integration within your Joomla Dashboard.

Payment Environment

Choose between the "Sandbox" or "Production" payment environment depending on whether you want to test payments in a demo/test environment or process real transactions in a live environment.

How to Obtain SandBox POS ID Sandbox Second Key (MD5) SandBox Client ID SandBox Client Secret

You can access the test transaction details in PayU's testing documentation. Scroll down to the Public POS section, where you'll find the public test POS ID, Second Key (MD5), Client ID, and Client Secret.

Or, to obtain your personal testing credentials

  • Register here by entering your email address for your sandbox testing environment. 

  • After you submit your email, you will receive a link to set up your account password. 

  • Once you've set your password, log in using the same email address. 

This will give you access to your new account in the Sandbox.

How to Create New Sandbox Testing Credentials

Once you have logged in to your PayU Sandbox account’s dashboard follow these simple steps.

Step 1:

  • From your PayU Sandbox dashboard, navigate to the Online Payment tab and choose My Shop
  • Enter all the obligatory fields and hit Next. 

Please note that the Currency field here is not changeable.

Step 2:

  • Enter your POS type POS name, and Data coding, and hit Add shop.

Step 3:

  • Now you have successfully created your sandbox testing configuration keys. Use these keys to integrate the PayU Sandbox environment payment gateway within EasyStore.

How to Obtain Production Configuration Keys

To obtain the Production Configuration keys like (POS ID, Second Key (MD5), Client ID, and Client Secret key) register here. Then login to your PayU merchant account and follow the steps similar to the ones used in the sandbox configuration key creation to obtain the Production Configuration Keys.

Payment Instruction

If needed, supply your customers with any payment instructions or supplementary information. This could encompass details on completing a payment or any special instructions regarding PayU payments.

After configuring the above settings, click Save & Close to save the integration. 

To make the PayU payment method available for your online store, you need to add it to your list of payment methods from EasyStore > Settings > Payments. Learn more.
